  • Deficiency of Magnesium may cause muscle tension and spasms in the jaw that may lead to TMJ pain. Magnesium rich food sources, such as spinach, Chard, pumpkin, yogurt, Almond, black bean, avocado, dark chocolate, and bananas play an imperative role to reduce TMJ pain.
  • Take a soft diet for 5 to 7 days to help symptoms of TMJ. Because soft diet requires less force within the joint structure. Take a scrambled egg, mashed potatoes, soup, cooked vegetables, apple-sauce, and pasta.
  • Gentle messaging of the jaw and temple muscles in a circular motion is beneficial for the relief of TMJ pain. Opening and closing jaw help you in stretching and massaging of the jaw muscles fibers.
  • Deep breathing, yoga, and exercise are also the most beneficial home remedies to reduce heart rate, blood pressure, and it is helpful to relax the muscles of the whole body.
